Add-ons, what are they?
Add-ons are a length of Upvc that will clip onto the side of your frame. It will make your frame thicker or wider.
Do I need them?
No not usually. They are used to allow extra clearance for the door or window frame. For example, if a property has a deep plaster line an add-on will provide extra clearance and prevent the frame from being buried into the plaster. (plaster up to 30mm deep will not require add-ons)
Remember if you require our fitting service then you don’t need to worry about add-ons as our surveyor will take care of this for you. However, if you require a supply only then you can simply select a 15, 25, or 50mm add-on during the ordering process online.
Please note all sizes entered are overall, so the width and height measurement will include any add-ons you select.
